Who are we?
Our Mission
In our digital age, young people have unprecedented access to information and social media, which poses new challenges for educators who aim to prepare them for active and responsible citizenship. The EU Youth Dialogue is a major structured participation process within the EU, where youth consultations occur simultaneously across member states. This initiative culminates in the biannual EU Youth Conference, where youth representatives and decision-makers come together to discuss these consultations. Youth DigiCitizens seeks to leverage digital technologies to boost youth engagement in democratic processes. The project aligns with the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027 and Youth Goal #9: Space and Participation for All, aiming to “Engage, Connect, Empower” young people through digital citizenship.
Targeting individuals aged 16 to 30 who are interested in driving change, the project offers them opportunities to influence policy-making at both national and European levels. By using digital tools to enhance civic participation, Youth DigiCitizens contributes to European integration and the realization of EU Youth Goals. The project includes educational workshops and debates on themes such as Education, Environment, Employment, and Vulnerable Social Groups, involving youth specialists, public authorities, and policymakers. Youth DigiCitizens strives to bridge the gap between young people and decision-makers, empowering youth to engage meaningfully in EU policy-making and equipping them to navigate future challenges effectively.
